Playgroups!

Check out our brilliant video below where it almost appears that the dogs and staff have put together a highly choreographed piece of action, which even involves one particular dog weaving through the legs of our one of our staff.

Most dogs love playing together.  In fact, one of the key aspects of boarding is the opportunity to socialise with appropriate playmates.

One of the best parts of our day is being able to take your dogs down for a great social romp.

That being said (sad face now), if your dog has not spent any time at the dog park with other dogs, or spent time generally with other dogs, in the vast majority of situations they would find playgroups stressful. As such, older dogs who are used to be "solitary" dogs will not be admitted into playgroups for their own well being.

Most dogs get access to our large 5 acre paddock up to 2-3 times a day. Please note: dogs who will not come back when called and/or fence jumpers will not get access to this paddock, but we have an internal paddock of a third of an acre which they will get to romp in.

During peak periods we have supervised play groups down at the dam paddock (5 acres) with up to 10-12 dogs playing together. 3 experienced dog people supervise session where the aim is for the dogs to have a joyful time. These sessions last about an hour.

Session costs for these are $10 each, and are in addition to the normal extensive exercise sessions. Usually this includes photos which we can email you to you or post to our facebook page . And sometimes even a video, like the video at the top of this page, and the one you can see by scrolling further down.

To be eligible for playgroups your dog/s must:

  • be desexed
  • be well mannered
  • not be a fence jumper
  • not attempt to be an "escape artist"
  • will generally come when called
  • loves interacting with other dogs
  • is often experienced down at their local dog park and gets on well with other dogs.

After these hearty social sessions, at night, all the dogs are put to bed in special kennel runs with fresh water and great bedding, in an insulated building where the temperature is further managed. We encourage peace and quiet in this environment to create an atmosphere of serenity.

We have a variety of programs you can enroll your dog in, so talk with us about your options when you arrive.  Don't forget to book your appointment time, so we can ensure you can our full attention.
